EFI offers a progressive and structured evaluation system designed to cater to learners at different stages of their French language journey. Whether you are a school student, a university learner, or an adult professional, EFI provides the right level to assess and enhance your skills.
Each level is aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), ensuring a clear roadmap for language development.

EFI Jeune Apprenant
Who is it for?
EFI Jeune Apprenant is designed for school students (class IV onwards), who are learning French as part of their academic curriculum. It provides a structured assessment to help them track their progress and build confidence in the language.

The EFI (Épreuve de Français pour l’Inde) follows a structured
and standardized assessment system to ensure a fair
evaluation of students’ French language proficiency. Each
level has a separate exam, assessing five key skills based on
predefined CEFR-aligned criteria.
Grading Scale
Grading Scale & Passing Criteria
Each EFI level (A1.1, A1, A2.1, A2, B1.1, B1) has its own exam, and students are graded based on their performance within that level only.

EFI Universitaire
Who is it for?
EFI Universitaire is tailored for university students who require certification in French to enhance their academic and career opportunities. It tests advanced comprehension, structured writing, and fluency in communication.
